Arlene Bignay, President/Directress Kids of the King Christian Academy (KKCA)
Truly, the Lord guides us all the way towards our success. Along the way, failure which is inevitable, will slow down the process, but only for a little while. In God’s grand plan for our lives, His purpose will always prevail as He promised in Jeremiah 29: 11“ For I know my plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you , plans to give you hope and a future”. In addition, this quote, “Failure is never final, and SUCCESS is never ending” will remind us that there is hope and success can be achieved! I live by these truths. My journey in life continues, and God’s plans unravel each day as I choose to obey His call for my life.
The first time I have heard about TESOL was on January 20, 2012 in one of those days during my missions exposure trip to Vietnam and to Cambodia together with my M.A. in Divinity classmates. Few months later, when our school, Kids of the King Christian Academy (KKCA) became a member of Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), I received an email from Prof. JANET MEDINA on June 26, 2013 about TESOL training at Pacesetters Institute. Apparently, she was one of the seminar speakers during ACSI’s Convention in The Fort.
As I continued with my journey for the Lord’s ministry, God sent me to Europe, and it was there that I joined LinkedIn U.S.A/Ireland (linking businessmen and professionals worldwide) being KKCA President/Directress. Surprisingly, despite the distance, God in His divine orchestration, connected me once more to Pacesetters Center for Development Institute on LinkedIn. This time, God was saying something for His divine purpose. My curiosity about TESOL at Pacesetters built up through the posts on LinkedIn. I prayed more about this prompting from God.
Indeed when we pray for God’s leading, He shows us the way and confirms His prompting. In June and in November 2015, during my trips in Korea, Thailand and in China, God showed me the need to take TESOL during my short exchanges of one of the most difficult conversations I have had in life - talking to the airport’s staff in China. The language barrier was so intense that right then and there, I was convinced to take TESOL to help people communicate well using the English language. That incident led me to take the training at Pacesetters Institute on November 21, 2015 under the headship and mentorship of Prof. Janet Medina.
In my heart, I feel so peaceful knowing that this is what God desires that I do for such a time as this. Since 2012, taking TESOL was all what God wanted me to do, and He had wanted me to take it, specifically, at Pacesetters Institute in Manila.
God’s will is always purposeful. He arranges things carefully and orderly. By taking TESOL at Pacesetters Institute, I have learned that I can EARN a promising income for my family, at the same time, I can FULFIL my PASSION in TEACHING, and I can be CHRIST Ambassador by fulfilling God’s greatest commandment in Matthew 28: 19-20, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Do you have the passion to teach for life change? I am encouraging you to take TESOL at Pacesetters Center for Development Institute (Manila|Online|Davao). I can guarantee that you will enjoy learning from our Mentor/Trainer, Prof. Janet Medina who is not only passionate in Language Teaching but also is a good motivator with a big heart in leading lives for our Lord Jesus Christ.
